After thinking long and hard we have chosen to support KIVA, a microlending social initiative that enables individuals to create opportunity for themselves and their families while also building their local community.
From October 2009 onwards 1% of all proceeds (not just profits) from every bag sold will go towards financing KIVA loans.
We’re very excited about this development and hope that over time – and with our customers support – we will be able to continually relend and increase our contribution to KIVA and the individual people who will benefit from each loan.
