Matt Thomson <p><strong>1000 Denier Dupont Cordura</strong></p> <p>The black material used for the outside of all our bags, Dupont Cordura has a waterproof coating and is usually found in high-end outdoor equipment – it’s considered the best quality material of its kind.</p> <p>Many other companies use cheaper versions of this material such as kodra or “technical polyester fabric”.</p> <p>In our experience they never perform quite as well, they don’t look as good and they just don’t feel quite the same as the Dupont original.<br /></br></p> <p><strong>Coated Canvas</strong></p> <p>Used for the lining of the bag and pockets, heavyweight canvas is a durable yet soft material. Not only does it protect the contents of your bag, it also give the bag extra structure and durability.<br /></br></p> <p><strong>YKK Zippers</strong></p> <p>We only use <span class="caps">YKK</span> brand zippers. Quite simply, they’re the best.</p> <p>As the zipper is the most heavily used part of a bag, it is also the most vulnerable to damage. Therefore, we design our bags so that zippers can be easily repaired or replaced.</p> <p>Just so you know, we use a #8 (heavy duty) or #5 (standard) zipper is used for the main compartment, and a #3 (like on pants) zipper is used for the inside pockets.<br /></br></p> <p><strong>Seatbelt Webbing</strong></p> <p>A distinctive feature of our bags, seatbelt webbing is used for the adjustable straps.
